Busaba Eathai Opens
Dubai, UAE:
The grand opening of Busaba Eathai at THE BEACH has been anxiously awaited by Dubai locals; eager to enjoy Time Out’s “Londoners’ favourite restaurant” and OpenTable UK’s “Top Thai restaurant in London”.
Opening on 19 March, Busaba Eathai is bringing its flavoursome Thai cuisine and communal dining style to the new and prestigious retail development THE BEACH, part of Jumeirah Beach Residences. Busaba Eathai at THE BEACH covers more than 5,000 square feet and is spread across two floors, complete with sprawling outdoor terrace.
The Busaba menu is packed full of aromatic and addictive dishes, authentically prepared with the freshest ingredients. Busaba’s famous Thai calamari with ginger and green peppercorn regularly tops lists for best squid in London and the UK. Another firm favourite is the Mussaman duck curry, brimming with rich Southern Thai spices like cardamom, cinnamon and star anise. The chargrilled salmon fillet with fragrant coconut rice and baby spinach and sesame salad drizzled with a citrus soy dressing is popular with those seeking healthier options. For Thai food enthusiasts, Busaba’s menu offers all the classics; Pad Thai with prawns, Green chicken curry, stir-fried Morning Glory with red chilli, and the street food icon, the Som tam salad.
Jason Myers, CEO of Busaba Eathai commented:
“We are delighted to open our first restaurant in the Middle East here in Dubai. It is indeed one of the most exciting cities and a hub for the most distinguished and well known restaurants from around the globe.
“Busaba will offer a unique Thai dining experience to Dubai’s residents and visitors, with distinctive, high-quality food that everyone can enjoy. We have chosen THE BEACH to be the location for our first international restaurant because of its excellent location and the wonderful mix of international cuisines already located here.”
Busaba Eathai was founded by renowned restaurateur Alan Yau (creator of Hakkasan and Wagamama) and recently marked its 15th birthday with the opening of a new flagship branch in London’s uber-hip Shoreditch. Expansion plans for the respected UK brand include a series of openings in the Middle East with the Al Mana Group, one of the leading business enterprises in the region; as well as Busaba’s first foray into the North of England, opening in Manchester later this year.
