Doha, Qatar: Following the success of their 2011 Medical Mission, THE One Qatar (Al Mana Interiors) yet again joined forces with Pag-Iribang Bicolnon Qatar (PIBQ), Filipino Nurses Association Qatar (FNAQ) as well as Filipino doctors, dentists, medical technologists and pharmacists to provide free medical and dental check-ups to labourers in Doha’s industrial area on May 29, 2015.

Generating a huge response by distributing flyers to neighbouring companies and warehouses, informing them of the free health services which would be on offer at the home fashion brand’s warehouse on the day, 40 members of THE One tribe also organised seating and provided refreshments for the hundreds of workers who attended the event.

From 8am to 12 noon, four doctors, one dentist, ten nurses and three pharmacists treated no less than 280 patients! After hundreds of consultations, which included blood pressure checking and blood sugar testing in addition to dental check-ups, more than 50 patients were diagnosed with coughs and colds and treated on the spot, while 30% were treated for skin problems, 15% for hypertension and 5% for diabetes. In addition to free medication, attendees were also given hygiene advice in order to reduce the risk of contracting diseases.
